Glen Simmonds Events, Carib Event Partners, MCMG Inc and the Atlanta Montego Bay Sister Cities Foundation, present the Fifth Annual Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival and Family Fun Day on Sunday, September 5, 2010 (the day before Labor Day) from noon to 11 pm. Organized as a multi-cultural community event, the festival will be held in Dekalb County, Georgia.

Following, are several highlights of this community event:

• The festival is marketed to attract the 200,000 plus Caribbean nationals and “friends of the Caribbean” who reside throughout Metropolitan Atlanta. It is estimated that this region is the fastest growing area for residents of Caribbean heritage who boast an average household income of $65,000, and combined buying power of $30 billion throughout the Southeast – a distinctively diverse market ripe for growth, and investments!

• The event is perfect for product and/or service introductions, sampling, marketing and promotions.

• The event will feature several vendors providing food, crafts and other goods and services to the Metro-Atlanta community.

• The event will feature live reggae and calypso bands, a playground for the children, plus a games tent for domino aficionados.

• The festival will present competitive “jerk” grilling contests to determine who has Atlanta's Top Jerk Chef.

• Similar events staged in Jamaica and throughout North America have proven to be successful.

• Part of the proceeds from the event goes to benefit the Atlanta Montego Bay Sister Cities Foundation and other charitable programs.
